Suzuki Unveils Europe Bound Ignis in Paris Auto Show 2016

Suzuki has unveiled the Europe bound Ignis in Paris Auto Show 2016, Suzuki has unveiled the Ignis as its new global compact crossover. This car is expected to go for sale in Europe in 2017. We can safely assume that the model showed in Paris Auto Show will be final production model.

Also, it seems there is slight difference in the dimensions of the Ignis that is about to be launched in India. The European version seems to be 10 to 15 mm longer when compared to the version that is about to be launched in India, in the European version the bumpers are bit bigger. The Indian version will be under 4 meter length due to the excise duty benefits. However, the wheelbase will remain the same.

The other design elements will remain the same, the European version will have the same grill with large projector headlights with daytime running lights and LED, Flared wheel arches and straight shoulder line. Suzuki might offer several personalization options for the European version.

Under The Bonnet of Ignis

The European version ignis will be launched with 1.2 liter Dual jet petrol engine, this engine is known for its performance and fuel efficiency. The engine returns amazing fuel efficiency as its combined with Suzuki’s SHVS technology. This engine already does its duty on the European version of Baleno. It is also expected that the Ignis will be launched with all wheel drive system and features like hill descent control, dual camera braking system and lane change sensor.

In India Ignis is expected to be launched with 1.2 liter petrol engine, 1.3 liter DDIS diesel engine and the 1.0-litre BoosterJet petrol engine.

Colors Offered

Ignis will be offered in 14 colors and that includes dual tone colors similar to Vitara Brezza. The interior will be offered in dual tone colors.

Expected launch in Europe

Ignis is expected to launched around January 2017 and from then on it will introduced in other global markets.
